Lesson 1 – Read ‘Bob the bubble who wanted to be useful’ to your child (Page 3 – 4) . Discuss the meaning of the following words with your child ‘glistened, useful, encouraged, bobbing, delicate, drizzle and snuggled’ so they understand the story. Activity – Fill in the bubbles on page 5. Remember to answer in full sentences.

Lesson 2 Re read the story. Activity – Who said what on page 7

Lesson 3 – Page 8 – quiz time.

Lesson 4 – Exploring words together (page 9+10). Discuss the words in the bubble and answer the questions.  Write your answers in full sentences.

Lesson 5 – Retelling the story (page 11). Choose 1 activity - Activity 1– carefully cut out the pictures of the characters in the story. Stick them onto a straw or a lolly pop stick. Act out the story to your parents (this will develop your storytelling skills). Activity 2 – Use the story map on page 12 and write a sentence to go with each picture.
