The Little Red Hen
Watch “The Little Red Hen” as much as you can as we are going to learn to retell the story very soon, after or whilst you’re watching the story talk to your child about what is happening.
Have a go at joining in with the story whilst you are listening to it – join in with “who will help me?” and “Not I!”
Draw pictures of the characters and colour them in.
Next time you watch the story get your child to point to the characters they have drawn as they are mentioned – it’s a bit like an ispy game to develop their listening skills.
See if you can write a list of all the rhyming words for the animals in the story:
Sing the song “Old Macdonald Had a Farm” and use the animals from the story – discuss the sounds each animal makes.
Awards we have received so far.
