The Little Red Hen
We are still learning all about the little red hen.
By now you should know the story very well!
Have a look at our story that we have made in class to support your learning!
In class, we have looked at story maps. We know they use pictures to help us tell the story.
Use the story to make your own story map!
Have a go at changing the characters – scribe/write a new story with your child changing the characters to different animals. You might choose to make something else? Or the characters might say “I’m not helping!” instead of “not I”.
Use the recycling boxes and tubs around the house to make the farm that the little red hen and her friends live on! Use paper, kitchen rolls, tubes, boxes to make your animal look really good. If you have paint you could even paint it, or find some things to stick to it – leaves from outside for feathers, acorns for eyes, and grass for hair and so on!
Awards we have received so far.
