LI: how to use a coordinating conjunction
In class, we normally look at just conjunctions but conjunctions can be split into two groups - coordinating conjunctions and subordinating conjunctions.
Have a look at the following website explaining what coordinating conjunctions are and then have a go at the work in your pack (Colin's Coordinating Conjunction Challenge and A Birthday Party).

Have a go at worksheets in your pack Capital Letters and Full Stops and Correct the Sentence Punctuation practising using capital letters and full stops – remember capital letters are needed at the beginning of a sentence and for names and places!

Remember a conjunction is a word which joins two sentences together for example and, so, because, then.
