When writing a fraction:
- How many parts are there in total? This can be written as our bottom number (denominator).
- How many parts are shaded? This is our top number (numerator).
- Can this be simplified?
Lesson 2 – LI: To find equivalent fractions
Equivalent means the same! Today we will be finding fractions which represent the same amount.
