Lesson 1

LI: To count in 10s

In your pack you have a counting  in 10s worksheet.

There is a video below that will help you.

You need to count in 10s to answer the questions.

Remember;

When counting in 10s you are adding 10 more each time.

Lesson 2

LI: Multiplication facts for the 10 times tables

Today, we are going to use our understanding of counting in 10s and apply this to the 10 times tables.

In your pack there is a 10 times table worksheet and there is a video below  that will help you.

On your overview sheet you can see an example of the type of questions that you will be doing today.  It is showing how to use a bar model.

Using a bar model we can see there are 4 lots of 10

4 x 10 = 40

Lesson 3

LI: To make equal groups – sharing

Today, we are looking at sharing – we will be sharing equally to make groups.   We also call this dividing.

In your pack there is a making equal groups worksheet and there is a video below that will help you.

On your overview sheet there is an example of the types of questions that you will be looking at today.

Make 5 equal groups

You could draw around the bananas to make the groups

20 bananas shared into 5 boxes = 4

20 ÷ 5 = 4

There are 4 bananas is each box (4 x 5 = 20)

Lesson 4

LI: To divide by 2

Today, we are looking at dividing by 2 – this means that we are making 2 equal groups.

In your pack there is a dividing by 2 worksheet and there is a video below that will help you.

On your overview sheet there is an example of the types of questions that  you will be looking at today.

The array on you sheet shows 4 lots of 2

4 x 2 = 8

We can then share equally by 2

8 shared into 4 equal groups equals 2

8 ÷ 4 = 2

Divide by 2

LI: To divide by 5 and 10

Today, we are looking at dividing by 5.
