Today, you are applying your understanding of more than and less than.

For example;

9                    5

The number sentence we could use for these numbers is

5 is less than 9

We know that 9 is the bigger number.

Today, you are ordering objects from smallest to greatest and greatest to smallest

You can use your understating of counting to help you – by counting forwards and counting backwards.

LI: To compare numbers.

Today, you are comparing numbers.  Just like before we are looking at the greatest number (biggest) and the smallest number. We are comparing – so we need to identify which number is greatest.

Today, you are ordering numbers.  Just like in previous lessons we are looking at the smallest and the greatest numbers.  We can use our understanding of counting and the order that numbers appear to help us.
