LI: To write a non-chronological report

Using your notes from the previous lesson I would like you wot write a non-chronological report about the game you played.

Task

Write a report about the game that you chose.

Try to include some of the features of a Non-Chronological Report.

  • Subheadings
  • Technical vocabulary specific to the game
  • Past tense

Lesson 5

LI: To edit and improve my writing

Looking at your work from yesterday’s lesson we are going to look at improving our writing so that we have a detailed and descriptive piece of writing.  Use a different coloured pen to edit and improve your work.

Task 1 - Sentence openers – Make sure your openers are interesting and varied - try not to keep using the same opener. (think about the fronted adverbials we used last week in our writing)

Task 2 – expanded noun phrase – make sure you are describing in detail – try to use to adjectives before the noun to describe so that you are using expanded noun phrases in your writing.
