Welcome to Forestdale Primary School

It is a real privilege to welcome you to Forestdale Primary School.

As the new Headteacher, I am incredibly excited to be joining such a special school and to be leading Forestdale into its next chapter. There is a real sense of opportunity ahead of us, and I am determined that we seize it together.

At Forestdale, we believe that every child matters and every child can achieve. Our vision is simple: to create a culture of high expectations where every child is known, valued and challenged to achieve their very best.

Our commitment is simple:

We want every child to experience excellent teaching, feel a strong sense of belonging and develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to succeed. We believe that education can transform lives, and that every child deserves adults around them who believe in them, champion them and refuse to place limits on what they can achieve.

Our Forestdale Five will be at the heart of our culture. These values will shape the way we learn, the way we behave and, most importantly, the way we treat one another. Alongside our expectations to be Ready, Respectful and Safe, they will help us build a school community where everyone feels valued and able to flourish.

We are ambitious for our children, but we are also ambitious for our staff. Through evidence-informed teaching, collaboration, coaching and continual professional development, we will create a culture where we are always looking for ways to get better. Because when our staff get better, our children benefit.

We also know that children thrive when schools and families work together. We want Forestdale to be a school where parents and carers feel welcomed, listened to and genuinely part of their child’s education. Strong relationships with families matter because education transforms lives.

There is so much to look forward to. As we prepare for our move into our fantastic new school building in Frankley in 2027, we have an opportunity to build not simply a new school, but an even stronger Forestdale community.

My promise is that we will never lose sight of what matters most:
