Research Project

To be completed throughout the week.

 I was going to get you all to make an information text all about England as I really thought it was coming come but now I think that we should look at the Olympics and create an information text all about the it.  The Olympics are taking place this year in Tokyo. 

We covered information texts recently in class so you all know exactly what you need in your writing!

What is needed in your work. 

You need to think about what you want to include, such as the history of the Olympics, sports that people compete in, famous Olympians, where the Olympics have been held, etc. 

Title

Introduction - a brief introduction about what the text is about, what the reader could find out about if they were to continue reading and why they should continue to read. 

Subheadings for each section and relevant information for each section.

You could use rhetorical questions to engage her reader - Did you know that......?   Have you ever wondered.....?  Could you.....?

Pictures and images are also needed so it is not all wordy.
