Eggciting times at Forestdale as the whole school went on an Easter parade!
Mon 18 Mar 2024All the children of Forestdale went onto a walk on the estate to show off their Easter crafts. The weather was kind and crowds of parents cheered the children on along the route. A big thank you too all!

Tree-mendous job Forestdale!
Thu 11 Jan 2024Year 5 children were branching out, working with the Woodlands Trust to plant 150 trees! The cold weather and mud did not stop them planting the trees in Pepper Wood. A great team effort!

Children bring Christmas to The Oaks Nursing Home
Mon 18 Dec 2023Our Year 3 children and a special guest from Year 6, visited The Oaks to sing an assortment of Christmas songs to the delight of the residents. There was also a visit from donkeys from the local farm. It was all finished off with a drink and a mince pie!

Great attendance at Parents' Evening
Tue 21 Nov 2023Thank you to all of you who attended parents' evening this term. There was a lovely atmosphere around school. A lot of parents completed the feedback forms and it showed once again how positive our parent and school relationships are. Remember we are always on the gates if you have any issues or concerns.

Forestdale Children attend first parade for 1st Hollymoor & Frankley Boys Brigade and Girls Association.
Mon 16 Oct 2023The first ever church parade for 1st Hollymoor & Frankley Boys Brigade and Girls Association took place on Sunday.
"It was lovely to see pupils from Forestdale Primary School in attendance and so impeccably behaved."
A few special mentions from those in attendance Lewis read the Boys Brigade Prayer and Tyla Rose did amazingly well reading the opening prayer know as “The Collect”.If you are interested in joining the Boys Brigade please contact Pastor Stephen at Hollymoor Community church.

Changes to the school library
Tue 10 Oct 2023We have had a change in our library. The Key Stage 2 books are now in alphabetical order and EYFS and Key Stage 2 have new areas for their books. We are in the process of appointing librarians.

School Council elections
Wed 04 Oct 2023We have held School Council elections this week at School. We announced the winners in assembly and look forward to our first meeting.

Library visits
Mon 02 Oct 2023As part of National Library Week the children in Year 3,4,5 and 6 visited Frankley Library. The were great ambassadors for the school. Well done all!
