Picture Stimulus
Task 1
Using the picture, list all the things that you can see, hear, smell and feel.
Task 2
Using your list from yesterday, add adjectives to the items that you identified from the picture. Use the example to help you. Now, describe the objects selected then add 4 more of your own. Remember it could be anything you see, hear, or feel.
Task 3
Now it is time to add adverbials of place.
The calm, gentle breeze blows across the desert.

Using all that you have done over tasks 1, 2 and 3, write a setting description about the picture.
Success Criteria
- Describe where it is (place)
- Describe when in it (time)
- Ask a rhetorical question.
- Describe what you can see, hear feel and smell.
- Add a rhetorical question about the trap door.
- Use capital letters for the starts of sentences and proper nouns.
- End each of your sentence with the correct punctuation.
- Use a variety of sentence starters.
