During their time at Forestdale, children will gain an understanding and appreciation of the wide range of cultural influences that have shaped their own heritage and those of others. They will learn to appreciate the range of cultures in school and outside of school. Children will have an opportunity to visit British Parliament and find out about our democratic systems and its role in shaping their future. Children will be given opportunity to participate to artistic, musical, sporting and cultural opportunities. Throughout their primary years, children will explore a variety of cultures and beliefs and be taught how to respect them.

Sport Taster Sessions
The whole school experience a variety of taster sessions from Quidditch to fencing, hoola-hooping to skipping!
Music
Children have a variety of musical opportunities. In Year 4 children play the Ukulele for the year and Year 5 learn to play the fife and flute. We had an orchestra from King Edwards, the whole school got to make music with spoons, and every class created a junk orchestra.
Cooking and gardening
Children have the opportunity to cook and also experience working in the allotments. They have entered competitions at the National Garden Show and have visited City Serve Kitchens to create a menu - oh and eat it!!

Learning to be safe on a bike
Children learn how to look after their bikes and stay safe on the roads.
Secondary School Transition Visits
As part of their transition to secondary school, children visit their local school to take part in a variety of activities - from trampolining to basket ball, cooking to D&T.
