Home School agreements are completed on admission to Forestdale 

 

What parents can expect from Forestdale 

To help your child at school we will try our best to:

  • Give every child the opportunity to develop to their full potential.
  • Provide a safe, friendly, atmosphere and to take responsible steps to ensure the safety, happiness and self confidence of all children.
  • Inform parents and carers regularly about how their children are progressing.
  • Encourage your children to always do their best and inform them of their targets.
  • Be open and welcoming at all appropriate times and offer opportunities for parents  and carers to become involved in the daily life of the school.
  • Set, mark and monitor homework tasks regularly in keeping with the daily life of the school.
  • Contact parents/ carers if there is a persistent problem concerning your child's attendance, punctuality, behaviour or work.
  • Offer a broad and balanced curriculum which meets the needs of your children.
  • Ensure children know how to stay safe when using technology.


What we expect from your child

To help myself at school, I will do my best to:

  • Come to school regularly and be on time.
  • Keep to the rules and behave well.
  • Be polite and helpful to other children and adults.
  • Do my homework and bring it back on time.
  • Bring all the equipment I need every day, PE kit, reading books, etc.
  • Take good care of the environment.
  • Work hard,listen carefully to instructions and try in everything I do.
  • Use the computers sensibly and responsibly.


What we expect from our parents

To help my child at school, I will try my best to:

  • Make sure that my child arrives on time and collected on time.
  • Make sure my child attendsschool regularly and inform school of any absence.
  • Encourage good behaviour by following the school's behaviour policy.
  • Share information about my child that may affect their learning.
  • Support my child with homework and other learning opportunities.
  • attend appointmentments affecting my child's health and educatione.g, Open Evenings.
  • Listen to my child read.
  • Ensure my child wears school uniform and has the appropriate equipment.
  • Encourage my child to do their best.
  • Monitor my child's use of technology.
