Pupil Premium Strategy 2021-2024

Analysis of Pupil Premium and Catch up Spend

Catch Up Premium

For the financial year 2021-2022  £9400

The money received in 2021 was used in the summer for a teacher to support a group of children in Year 2 and for a teacher to carry out some support in KS2.

For the financial year 2022-2023  £9400

Our focus on catch up funding for this year will be the children in Year 2 and 3 who have not passed their phonics screening.  This funding will allow our phonics expert to be out of class and supporting these children in phonics and reading during the Autumn term.

At Forestdale we have been using both the National Tutoring programme and the School led tutoring to support  our children since the second half term.

Although still hampered by attendance in 2021-22 due mainly to Covid, the large majority of children undertaking tutoring to date have made good or better progress from their starting points.
