• School Lessons of CBBC next week!

  The BBC will be airing educational programmes for children starting next week.  Starting on Monday, January 11, there will be at three hours of curriculum-based programmes for primary school children each day on CBBC.  There is also a schedule for pre-school children on Cbeebies.

   

  Some huge celebrity names have been announced as taking part in the teaching as Celebrity Supply Teachers.

  They include Sir David Attenborough, Brian Cox and Liam Payne.

• School Closure

  Following the announcement by Boris Johnson on Monday 4th January, school will be closed to children until further notice - the Government have indicated that this will be to at least half term.

   

  We will be open for key worker children from Wednesday as before.

• National School Flu Vaccination Programme Update

  NHS England and Public Health England have identified this season an offer of inactivated influenza vaccine (IIV) is also being made to children (Reception to Year 7) whose parents refuse live attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV) due to the porcine gelatine content, subject to vaccine availability.

   

  Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust have been advised by commissioners that we can now approach parents to request expressions of interest with regards to an offer of inactivated influenza vaccine (IIV) to children whose parents refuse live attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV) due to the porcine gelatine content.

  The offer of this vaccination will be delivered in a clinic setting. This offer will be dependent on both vaccine availability and the capacity within the Immunisation Team to deliver this offer at short request.

   

  We would be grateful if you could use your usual method of communication to advise any parents interested in their child receiving the alternative vaccination to contact the Immunisation Team on:

  Key Stage 2 came back to school today and the vast majority of children came in! A big thank you to all parents and children who made the reopening so smooth this mornings.  Children have settled well into their new classrooms - lots of smiling faces!
