• Local MP Office Visit

  As part of parliament week, Local MP Laurence Turner's office visited the school to give an insight into the work they do both in London and in the local community.  Our children asked lots of thought-provoking questions and the general feeling is that the children found it very interesting.  Who knows, we might have a future MP in school right now!

• Parents' Evening

  Thank you to all the parents who came to Parents' Evening on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.  We had a great turn out.  For those who could not make it please email the teachers to set up a phone consultation or meeting after school.  

   

  We had a good response to the parent questionnaires and two lucky parents will be drawn from the entries and win a prize.

• Martial Arts Success at Forestdale!

  Children have successfully gained their belts after the first half term of martial arts.  Thirteen white belts and one yellow belt!  Thanks to Elite Dragon Martial Arts, the children have focused on their martial art skills as well as working with our school values of respect, responsibility and confidence in order to make the grade!

   

  

• Macmillan Coffee Afternoon

  Thank you to everyone who supported our MacMillan Coffee Afternoon.  We had an amazing turn out and raised over £200 for the charity.

  This year Forestdale are celebrating being 21 years old.  Today our current students and staff are having a party to celebrate our birthday!

  

• Proposed relocation of Forestdale Primary School

• Future star runner!

  Amelia in Year 5 took part in her first competitive run last weekend and completed it in a fantastic time!  This time it was 1k but already Amelia is looking to do a 5k and 10k in the near future.  She showed great resilience and we look forward to more events in the future!

  

• Martial Art Champion!

  At the weekend Scarlet in Year 6 took part in a Kick Boxing competition and won her fight emphatically.  She said that in order to get to where she is she has had to demonstrate a lot of the school values including confidence, cooperation, resilience, responsibility and Healthy.  A future champion in the making? We think so!

  

• Eggciting times at Forestdale as the whole school went on an Easter parade!

  All the children of Forestdale went onto a walk on the estate to show off their Easter crafts.  The weather was kind and crowds of parents cheered the children on along the route.  A big thank you too all!

  

• Tree-mendous job Forestdale!

  Year 5 children were branching out, working with the Woodlands Trust to plant 150 trees!  The cold weather and mud did not stop them planting the trees in Pepper Wood.  A great team effort!
